Commentify for agents
Commentify is an MCP server. Connect it to an AI agent, and the agent can read your team’s design feedback from Figma, Jira and Notion, answer questions about it, and, on the Pro plan, reply in a thread or mark it done in your name.
Server URL: https://app.commentify.one/api/mcp
What the agent can do
| Tool | What it does | Plan |
|---|---|---|
ask_feedback | Answers a question about what the team said, across Figma, Jira and Notion, and cites the threads. | Free and Pro |
search_feedback | The matching threads, best first, each with a summary and who took which stance. | Free and Pro |
get_thread | One thread in full: every comment with its author and time, and the file it is on. | Free and Pro |
reply | Posts a reply in a thread, on the platform it is on, under your name. | Pro |
set_thread_status | Marks a thread done in Commentify, or reopens it. | Pro |
The agent sees your comments as of the last sync: live for Figma teams with webhooks, and every 30 minutes otherwise. It only acts on your own connected accounts, and the two writing tools ask for your confirmation in agents that support tool permissions.

- “What did the team say about the Inbox page?”
- “Is there any open feedback on PROJ-123?”

- “Reply to that thread: on it, shipping Thursday.” (Pro)

Plans and limits
| Free | Pro | |
|---|---|---|
| Questions (ask_feedback) | 10 an hour, 30 a day | 60 an hour, 600 a day |
| Reads (search_feedback, get_thread) | 60 an hour, 200 a day | 600 an hour, 6,000 a day |
| Reply and mark done | No | Yes |
A refused call is not counted. The limits are per Commentify account, across every agent you connect.
Privacy and control
- The agent authenticates with OAuth. Your platform tokens never leave Commentify’s servers.
- Revoke an agent at any time in Settings → Agents. Every tool call is logged with its tool, time and outcome, and nothing else.
- What the agent does with the feedback it reads is covered by that agent’s own privacy policy. Ours is at commentify.one/privacy-policy.
Troubleshooting
- “Sign in to Commentify to connect this client.” The agent’s token is missing or expired. Reconnect the connector.
- “Thread not found.” The thread is not in one of your connected accounts, or it was removed from the platform.
- “Limit of … reached.” Wait for the next hour or day, or upgrade to Pro.
- The agent sees old comments. Click Reload on the Comments page, which reads every connected account again.
